or, Today's Edition of "Are you shitting me, internet?!?!"

So I have breathlessly raced to the sorta-cliffhanger ending of The Burning City, which is book 2 in the Spirit Binders series by Alaya Dawn Johnson. And I wish to race forward to the next book, the triumphant conclusion of the amazing trilogy. At least to the buying it part. Sometimes that's enough and then it sits on my shelf for several months and I smile at it in sweet anticipation while on my way to wrestle children into pajamas.

But I can't do that because the series is on hiatus. Indefinite hiatus, even. Waaaaaaaaahh!

I am angry-sad and wish to go storm some sort of publishing barricade but I have no idea where to start with that kind of thing. With a fan club type group, if there is one? With sad-but-hopeful glowing reviews?

This is even worse than those times where awesome books are out of print and I could track them down across the earth, except I don't, because I don't have the time or money. If this third book existed I think I would, though. The first two were THAT GOOD.

Soooo disappointed.
