The holy in-between
Oct. 14th, 2019 09:06 pmChange is hard. Always uncomfortable, often painful, even when you're moving in a good direction.
It's disorienting, and my brain interprets that as painful. WTF are the rules? Do I gotta make them up? What if I get it wrong?!?
And change is never really fast, either. Maybe a single big event shifts stuff in your life, or maybe you go through a process for some weeks or months of whatever, but then... you're still not done. Really changing means adjusting to the new, the different, all the loss and all the strange new things, shadowed with fear and memory.
Hail to the Birch Queen, goddess of the margins.
Sovereign queen of this world and seer of the next.
Spinner of loss into chances for victory. Sacrifice into joy.
Our Lady of sucking at things until you suck at them less.
Of trying your best because someone has to step up.
Of missing the lost ones less every day, but never forgetting.
Of loving the ones you are with.
