lonesparkI know what I like in ship dynamics, and sometimes it's a fashion-concious pragmatist who's not above arranging assassinations, in love with a breathtakingly handsome hero who is campassionate and idealistic, yet also arrogant, flawed, and keeping dark secrets. The romance is not technically canon, but the subtext is very loud.
Sometimes they bring the Romulans into the war.
Sometimes they (try to?) reclaim the magical lands of Xadia.
(This probably applies to more of my ships if I think about it...)

and that "deeply flawed people who maybe look from a distance like an idealistic hero and a cynical antihero but it's more complicated" thing is so very good.
