All Jobs Should Have Daycares
Jun. 7th, 2018 09:52 amSomeone should run for office with just that platform.
All Jobs. Everywhere.
There are so many stories of parents, mostly mothers, making discoveries or presenting research or designing or building things that changed the world so much...and the only reason they were able to do it was because some kind stranger or coworker or family member who happened to be available watched their kid(s) or looked the other way when they brought them along.
It's a subset of Everything for Everyone.
All jobs need daycares. Some arrangement, onsite or otherwise, for well kids and sick kids and disabled kids and nursing babies etc.
Oh, and school too, obviously. School is students' job.
And any government office people ever have to show up at, aka all of them. It's a job, too, but the daycare should be open for all the clients' kids. And I guess healthcare offices, too?
I mean I guess pretty much every business should have one for employees and also customers, but that might not the ideal way to for a lot of things. Like maybe ideally there's a lot of neighborhood daycares so you don't need the other ones as much, but they will still be needed sometimes by most people and be the best fit for many...
