My current obsession is using country songs for vids in medievalish fandoms. Like, I wanted to make a Robin Hood vid with Sawyer Brown's "All These Years."

Then I followed a YouTube link to "Love, Me" and it brought back all the memories (I was such a fanatical Collin Raye fan all through high school...and I listened to nothing but country radio...and then I moved to town where that was the only radio they had...) But also my brain decided that's totally a (gender switched...I think) Aragorn/Arwen song.

ETA: There are a ton of sassy country chick songs that would be good for Marian vids. "Guys Do It All the Time," "Did I Shave My Legs For This?" "My Give a Damn's Busted..."

And now that I have started down this road I can't stop. Like I want Season 3 Guy of Gisborne selling VCRS at a Walmart in Little Rock. But "without you, baby, I'm not me..." (He gave up drinking murdering peasants...)

is it bad that several of the songs on the bonus disc of the deluxe edition of Taylor Swift's Red album kinda speak to me from Djaq's POV after Allan's betrayal? Also "Come Back...Be Here" totally does the same thing in the W/D/A soulmate 'verse I have in my head but haven't started writing down yet...
