I had work yesterday and today but it turned out that they were early-release days, and that I didn't need to actual proctor tests; I was just giving people breaks and monitoring bathroom traffic. I had hoped to maybe work on some essays for job and grad program applications, but I forgot to bring the laptop and wasn't able to borrow one, plus there wasn't quite enough quiet focusing time for that.

Instead, I did the following:

- Caught up on 2 months worth of middle and high school science teaching journals (4 journals total), taking copious, enthusiastic notes

- Made to-do lists and updated my calendar

- Wrote several prayers and/or poems (we're talking short pieces, 4-12 lines)

- Read most of the introduction to my copy of the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglas. (More passionate notetaking, this time via post-its stuck near the relevant passage.)

Then there was the kerfluffle about how they were early release days but no one told us, and someone at some point was trying to pay us for only half days, and I was afraid that was going to require protracted complaining to fix, but in fact it was easily worked out.

This is me at relatively full capacity, courtesy of Prozac, intense exercise, sleep, and coffee. I should probably put posts like this with my journal and health files to remind myself of what I can and should be.
