IDK what this is called and it's a story-within-a-fic because if you can't write fanfiction about people writing fanfiction what even is the point?
Also I am taking suggestions for alternate, deniable-but-relatively-obvious names to give the chars on behalf of OCs who have filed the serial numbers off.
Once upon a time, there was a prince who sought to learn from one of the finest warriors in the land, a woman who was brilliant and bold, and lovely in the soft light of dawn when they rose for training. Between strategy sessions, and sparring matches, and hastily-consumed dinners with smuggled-in pastries for dessert, they fell in love.
And once upon a time, a prince who sought new wisdom to solve ancient problems was aided in this quest by his oldest friend, who was brilliant and beautiful and had never yet found an answer he couldn't get around with different questions. Between study sessions, and chess matches, and endless invigorating arguments, the bond between them grew naturally into many kinds of love.
They were both very good stories. The challenge was fitting them together properly, and at this, King Harrow was a notable failure.

IDK what I am calling this genderswap Virrow thing of which "Abomination" is the last part
There was some envy, even jealousy perhaps, for all that Viren treasured the freedom in their informal, uncommitted bond. Soon, however, those feelings gave way to amusement at watching the ordinarily competent, focused queen dissolve into a helplessly infatuated mess.
Viren spent many hours in the workshop half-listening to Harrow recounting Sarai's remarkable qualities. She was strong, and skillful, and amazingly talented at having the sunlight glisten off her sweat-sheened muscles at all times of day. Her hair was beautiful, and the many styles in which she wore it were all lovely and amazing. She was funny, and brilliant, and her smile...
Hmm, that's only things I've worked on since the last time I managed Six Sentence Sunday. Still many more...
